Schiller Consulting provides consulting for utilities, government agencies (such as utility commissions and state/federal energy offices), foundations, private companies, NGOs, and non-profits on a wide variety of energy efficiency topics as well renewable energy independent power. Consulting assignments include establishing institutional policies, strategies and infrastructures, contract negotiation, and research management. A technical specialty is the evaluation, measurement and verification of energy savings and environmental benefits.

Current and recent projects involve supporting the establishment of efficiency institutional policies and infrastructures for the U.S. Department of Energy, the International Energy Agency, Ameren, Avista Utilities, and the States of Hawaii, Maryland, New Mexico, Ohio and Pennsylvania.  Work for the Energy Foundation, National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners, Regulatory Assistance Project, U.S. EPA, and the World Bank have involved trainings and technical/policy support for government entities and collaborative processes.
